Illumination sent the Minions to 1920s Hollywood for Minions & Monsters, a madcap adventure in which the little yellow agents of chaos attempt to make their own monster movie, teaming up with a new creature named Goomi (voiced by Trey Parker) and battling sea beasts, mummies, and a giant pink bunny. Series veteran Pierre Coffin directs, and there's even a George Lucas cameo.

The Minions are the biggest animated franchise on the planet for a reason — the slapstick translates across every language and age group — and wrapping them in a love letter to classic Hollywood monster cinema is a clever, self-aware spin. It's pure summer family entertainment.
